Getting Started
Welcome! Located here are a few simple tools to support refugee case workers and program managers as they organize, implement, manage and assess their resettlement projects and finances. The tools are simple, yet hopefully effective at using refugee case workers’ time and resources wisely. They’re meant to provide maximum benefit with minimum effort – perfect for the busy caseworker!
The tools are described and pictured on the site pages, and soft-copy versions are available in the Box.net widget to the right. Please peruse, download and share them as you like – and be sure to adjust them to fit your resettlement needs. Also, please comment on the pages with your recommendations on how to make the tools simpler, easier, or more effective.
Tools include:
- Resettlement Finance Needs Assessment for programs and projects
- Family Investment Program Ledger for welfare client and finance organizing
- Family Investment Program Case Budgets for individual case budgets
- Match Grant Workbook for reporting and data compilation
- Match Grant Case Budget for individual case budgets
Please note that on all worksheets, case numbers and case names have been fictionalized! No former client information is included anywhere on this site or in supporting documents.
My mission is to make life better for refugees by making life easier for refugee resettlement agencies. I intend for this blog to be a living, changing resettlement management and finance database. My goal is to help this space grow into a collaborative environment for case workers and program managers to share resettlement management techniques, tips and tools with one another. Welcome to the experiment, and please join in!
